What is just as much fun as our monthly Tweet Chats?
Answer. Our GIVEAWAYS!!!
On April 13th, 2012 Be Prepared Period and You ARE Loved will come together to host a special Get to Know Your Menstrual Cycle event! We are proud to announce we have two special guests, Dr. Joan Moon of Women’s Health Dynamics and Alison Sanchez of Feby.com joining us this month.
To help promote the event and encourage participation Lunette has generously donated 5 Lunette Cups for us to give away to 5 very lucky participants. (And an extra BONUS: You get to pick the size and color!)
Over the past 70 years, a woman’s choice for internal menstrual care has pretty much been limited to tampons. Wouldn’t you like something better, something . . . nicer?
Now there is an alternative that is healthier for our bodies, our environment and our pocketbook — the Lunette menstrual cup.
Made in Finland, the Lunette menstrual cup is an easy-to-use, safe, and clean alternative to pads and tampons. Using a Lunette is similar to using a tampon but requires less changing. Made of medical-grade silicone, a non-friendly environment for bacteria, menstrual cups are simply washed and reused. Not to mention, menstrual cups create zero waste. That’s nice!
What one Lunette user has to say: “I must also tell you that the cup seems to have somehow taken away the majority of my cramps….it’s a miracle! I’ve converted many onto the cup….”

I have already tried the Lunette, and it is amazing!! I would LOVE the opportunity to win one to give to my best friend for Mother’s Day!
~Terri
You’re a very sweet friend Terri!
im new to being green and i would love to try this ive been trying to be green as i can be and i would love this
I want to use Lunette because I want to use a reusable menstrual cup instead of pads and tampons.
I want to explore ALL my options now that I am having green periods 🙂
I want to try Lunetta because I am interested in seeing if it’s a better fit for me (in terms of leaks) than the Diva Cup I’ve been using since the fall of 2010. Plus, they’re available in pretty colors! 😀
I’ve read several accounts of Lunette working for women for whom the DivaCup did not. It’s so wonderful that you’re not giving up on menstrual cups just because of one leaky experience. 🙂
I’ve heard great things about the lunette and I’d love to give it a try because I hate disposable products
i want to try one because i hate pads, and want to be greener with my periods. the amount of waste i create with pads is enormous because my periods are heavy and they last 7 days, meaning i have to go through about a million of them each period, versus just reusing a cup!
I’ve been interested in switching to a menstrual cup for some time. Lunette seems to have the best user reviews!
Lunette seems to be the best menstrual cup out there, according to what I hear word of mouth and online. I have done a little research and cups seem to be the healthiest, most eco-friendly and economical solution out there. I would love to get my hands on one of these!
I would love to try a menstrual cup!
I would like to try it cause I have been looking for eco-friendly stuff to protect the environment.
I have never tried a cup before and would like to 🙂
Love this product!
It’s smaller than other cups!
I would love to try Lunette as I will be trying to decide which type to use once my cycle starts again (after this beautiful lil babe is done nursing full-time or whenever it starts). A menstrual cup seems like a wonderful option.
It will be my first trial with a menstrual cup 🙂
Since I already own a menstrual cup that works well for me, I would give it to my roommate or my best friend, whom I’ve been trying to convince try cups for a few months, but so far they still haven’t taken the plunge !
But I would be very tempted to try it myself, I like many things about its design : short body yet long stem, hand grip rings, good capacity, the small size is of medium softness, gorgeous colors, all very good points !
These are beautiful. I already use one and would love to give one to a friend.
I’d love to have one of those to give away to a friend 🙂
I want to save money. I tried cloth pads and those gross me out because you have to rinse them.
I’m hoping this won’t be as gross to rinse.
To get rid of all of the monthly waste from tampons and pads.
I would really love to win a Large Cynthia cup. I love the Lunette cups.
I would love to try Lunette because I’m looking for more ‘green’ and safer alternatives for ‘that time’.
I want to try it because I heard it’s smaller, and that’s what I need.
I’d love to try it because I’m always trying to find ways to make my period better (well, when I get it again…fter August!)
The risk of TSS with tampons! Thanks to You ARE Loved! 🙂
I currently use cloth pads, but i really want to try a cup for summer
I tried a Diva Cup a while back and couldn’t get the hang of it, but I would really like to try Lunette because I have heard they are better!
I lost my Diva cup awhile back, and still haven’t replaced it! I’d love to give Lunette a try. 🙂
Tried to leave a comment using the widget but it wasn’t working for me. I recently switched to all organic tampons thanks to You ARE Loved and am really wanting to try out the cup.
I would love to wun the Lunette. I just recently discovered menstrual cups and am extremely curious about them, as I hate pads and tampons, they are both a bother and uncomfortable for me. Good luch to all those who entered!
i’ve tried diva but sometimes it doesn’t fit quite right so i’d love to try another option, plus it’s good to have a back up in case you drop one in a public toilet! 😉
We’re now cloth diapering our girls, so why shouldn’t I wear something “green” too?
I currently use ‘The Keeper’ just because it was the cheapest menstrual cup I could find and I wasn’t sure if I would like them. Now that I know that I love them, I’m looking to add to my collection. I love the color green, so a green menstrual cup would be awesome.
I would like to win 🙂
Tampons and pads especially are such a hassle and I despise the throw away attitude humans have adopted as the norm. I love this movement toward a more environmentally sound and cleaner world. It’s the little things that add up. Go Lunette!
I would love to win a Lunette to use while I travel outside the U.S. for three months and after of course.
I have a Lunette Cup and it is my absolute favorite menstrual product! I would love to win a cup to share with my sister Megan who is wanting to “green” her period!
~Terri
I would like to try Lunette. I currently use Softcup, I would never go back to tampons.
I hate periods and mine are heavy. I hate tampons and pads get so messy. Thank!
I would love to have a Lunette cup as tampons and both irritate and chafe, and the cloth pads tend to be too bulky and shift on my heavier frame. I would love to not have to dread my period every month.
My number one reason for wanting to try these is for environmental reasons; reduce my waste I leave behind.
I also love the ease and convenience they offer and I LOVE the fun colours!
My daughters and I are interested in trying a Lunette Cup so hope we win!
I’ve tried things like the Lunette before and was very happy with them, but I would LOVE to win one for my insanely active 12 y/o daughter who had her first period last weekend!
I’ve been wanting to try these for a long time. I’m very tired of using disposable tampons, both due to the effect on the environment and the effect on me! Bleach-laden cotton never seemed like a healthy choice.
I would love to save money by using a Lunette cup, and also have an alternative to pads as Ive had a hard time using tampons since having my son.
One of the most highly regarded cup manufacturers on the market therefor a must try.
#1 reason: my health!
I want to try it for health and because I hate conventional products.
I would love to try one–I can’t wait!
I have always used reusable menstrual products and need to replace the one I used before my pregnancy.
I already use another brand, but would like to try the Lunette as well before I buy my next replacement cup.
I’ve been wanting to try Lunette for so long! They look like a great quality cup!
Lunette looks like a great quality company — I’d love to try a Lunette cup!
I saw it, i want it, its the best thing for the period for a women.
I want to use lunette to respect the Nature, my body, and to save money♥
i want to try lunette because i hate how much garbage is produced by using disposable menstrual products.
Would love to try the Lunette!
I would love to try a Lunette. They get great reviews, and I love all the color choices!
I use another brand but would like to try the smaller size lunette
I have a Lunette and a Diva and I love my Lunette. I would like a second one to give away.
Can’t wait 🙂 setting a reminder on my phone. I’ve wanted to try a cup for so long. I’m tired of the trash and price of tampons.
I want my sister to try one. I love mine and I just know she’ll love it too!
Hello 🙂 I already have a small Lunette and I love it!!!! But I need the big one now… so I entered!! Lunette is just perfect for me and it’s made in Finland, a country I really love <3
I’ve never used a menstrual cup before but would love to try one 🙂
I want to stop spending money on disposables every month or two!
I already have Lunette but wining the money for another would let me be able to gift it to a friend (we’re college students who are broke; saving cash and going green is easier than wasting money and trashing the earth)!
I’ve already purchased cloth pads to have on hand for when my post-baby period returns, but I would love to have a menstrual cup on hand as well. I am sure there will be times I would prefer to use that.
I have never tried a menstrual cup
The #1 reason I want to try the Lunette cup is because I have awful cramps and heavy flow. I am wanting to try the cup and see if it helps with either or both. Oh and let’s not forget being dried out from tampons when my period is over!
I already use disposable menstrual cups and mama cloth, I’d love to try Lunette as a reusable cup option!
Less worry about leaking, convenience and to be WAY better on the environment!
I have a Diva Cup, and I’ve been wanting to try Lunette for a while to see the differences.
