Thanks for visiting my website! In honor of my Bat Mitzvah this August, I am raising money for period products for the Harvey Kornblum Jewish Food Pantry. Did you know that in St. Louis, where I live, two-thirds of low-income women couldn’t afford the period products they needed last year? And that period products in Missouri are taxed at a much higher rate than groceries? If you don’t have money to buy food, you probably can’t buy enough period products. Also, you cannot use food assistance benefits to buy period supplies! That’s why I chose to donate period supplies to the Harvey Kornblum Jewish Food Pantry, a program of JFS.
I have a really big goal — to give every menstruating client of the food pantry a 3-month supply of pads and/or tampons. That means we will need 1,400 kits of pads (or donations to buy those pads) every month! I hope to keep going and to find people who can help fund this project for the longer term, but my first goal is products for one month. Then I will increase my goal. Will you help me?

This project is important to me because everyone deserves to have the period products they need, and no one should miss out on school or work or get sick because they don’t have what they need. The photo is of me with a cart of period supplies, when I was offering them to food pantry clients. They were all so appreciative, and almost everyone commented on how expensive they are. I know this project will make a difference in their lives.
JFS' Harvey Kornblum Jewish Food Pantry
JFS provides children, adults and seniors in the St. Louis region with the supports they need to lead vibrant, healthy lives.
JFS’ Harvey Kornblum Jewish Food Pantry provides more than 15,000 clients annually with at least 10 days of food per month, including kosher options and personal care items. JFS serves all who live in St. Louis, inclusive of age, race, religion, ethnicity, ability, gender identity, and sexual orientation.
Girls Helping Girls. Period.
This 501(c)(3) non-profit partners with client agencies to get needed menstrual products to families in need. They are based in northern NJ but are able to get products anywhere in the United States by partnering with host organizations and individuals through Be Prepared. Period.’s fundraising program.

An online menstrual resource designed to help those from puberty to menopause. With a mission to help the issues surrounding period poverty we are honored to partner with individuals and organizations to raise funds and awareness.
