Sanford Research DEI Committee Donation Drive for The Kwek Society

To promote the wellbeing and education of Native American students in South Dakota and to raise awareness of the effects of period poverty, the Sanford Research DEI Committee is sponsoring a donation drive of 100 kits for 100 students in support of the Kwek Society, a nonprofit seeking to eliminate period poverty in Indigenous communities.

The Sanford Research DEI Committee is a volunteer committee that aims to promote diversity, equity, and inclusion within Sanford Research.
The Kwek Society
The Kwek Society is a 501(c)(3) public charity focused on ensuring that Indigenous students and community members have the period supplies they need, so they keep their dignity and good health. Currently we collaborate with more than 150 schools, community-based organizations, and Native Nations across North America. We provide puberty education and share traditional, Indigenous teachings about menstruation that center menstruators and “flip the script” on period shame.

An online menstrual resource designed to help those from puberty to menopause. With a mission to help the issues surrounding period poverty we are honored to partner with individuals and organizations to raise funds and awareness.
