Did you know that many tampon wrappers and pads contain plastic and can take up to 500 years to decompose? Are you looking for a way to "green" your period? To help reduce your waste and chemicals entering your body?

Allow us to introduce you to the DivaCup!

The DivaCup is a menstrual cup, an ecofriendly and reusable way to reduce your waste each month when Aunt Flo comes knocking.  Ideal for women of all ages and the active lifestyle (running, yoga, swimming, traveling, camping etc.) The DivaCup conveniently fits into your life; not the other way around. And because it is reusable, you don’t need to worry about carrying around extra product - better for women’s health and the environment.

Non-absorbent, the DivaCup may reduce your risk of dangerous infections such as Toxic Shock Syndrome when compared to tampons. Best of all, the DivaCup may be worn for up to 12 hours, depending on your flow, meaning you can have a great night of sleep without the worry. The DivaCup menstrual cup is great for:

  • Beach trips
  • Camping
  • School
  • Work
  • Swimming
  • Yoga
  • Hiking
  • And more!

Have you ever…(?)

  • co-opted toilet paper from a public washroom as a temporary measure
  • planned a vacation around your period
  • avoided white pants for that one 'special' week of the month
  • done a supplies hand-off with a girlfriend while the dates weren't looking
  • cautiously tucked the telltale string into your bikini
  • accidentally pulled a mystery object from your purse in front of a curious male audience
  • scuttled to the washroom to survey the leak damage after a sudden 'surge'
  • clogged your toilet with "flushable" feminine products
  • left a party with a jacket tied around your waist...

The DivaCup features:

  • Latex-free, BPA-free, plastic-free
  • No dyes, colors or additives
  • Comfortable, reliable
  • Clean, convenient, easy-to-use
  • Worn for up to 12 hours at a time

Ready to give it a try? Fantastic news! Here's some guidelines to help you pick the size that's right for you:

Model 1: For women under 30 years old who have never delivered vaginally or by caesarean section. Model 1 cup is 1 11/16" (~4.3 cm) in diameter and approximately 2 1/4" (~5.7 cm) in length in the body of the cup, with another 3/8" (~1 cm) stem (2 5/8" total length).

Model 2: For women over 30 years old and/or for women who have delivered vaginally or by caesarean section. Model 2 cup is 1 13/16" (~4.6 cm) in diameter and approximately 2 1/4" (~5.7 cm) in length in the body of the cup, with another 3/8" (~1 cm) stem (2 5/8" total length). As the vaginal muscles hold The DivaCup in place and these naturally lose elasticity as we age, it is important to use Model 2 if you are over 30, even if you have not had childbirth.

Basically, I guess you could say that using a menstrual cup has changed my life. I feel so much better about using the DivaCup then other options. I couldn't use tampons before because they made me feel so uncomfortable, and pads were always so conspicuous and they created a an odor that I always felt embarrassed about. Since using a menstrual cup not only is there no odor but my period itself has changed. I have very little if any cramps and when it's over it's over, no more sneaky last drops. Every woman should use a menstrual cup, it's so easy to use. The fears of, "how will I get it in?" or "how will I get it out?" are valid fears but once you use it for a month a two all those fears are gone and you'll wonder why you never when this route before.

Best decision I ever could've made for myself and I will be buying one for my daughter when the time comes.

I am glad I spent the money to try the Diva Cup I wish I would have made the decision long ago. Convenient, easy to use, no leaks - yes I did wear a panty liner just in case but was not needed. I have used tampons since I was 16-17 years old.

There was no sneaking tampons to the bathroom at work to change. You hardly know you are on your period, I felt like there was no cramping as normal but this was my first so time will tell.

Totally sold on Diva Cup would highly recommend.

If anyone is reading this it doesn't matter who you are you MUST try this product! It's absolutely fantastic. When used or inserted properly you can't even feel it! You don't know it's there. I found it to actually shorten my period length because there is nothing else that may be stopping the flow! It's totally worth the money it really really is! You only need to buy it once.

I love my Diva Cup. It is great to be able to forget I have my period even when using the restroom! I did have to cut off the tail because it was bothering me. But I have had no issues since. I will never be able to go back to pads or tampons!
