Hi, it’s Abbi, I am 17 years old and I got my first real period today, as I got it once before about a year ago but it lasted about a day and didn’t come back until today! Like mentioned before I live with my dad and little sisters, so I’m kind of scared! My friend gave me a couple tampons as I’m too scared to tell anyone else.. But I’m in desperate need of help, as I have no clue how to use a tampon! I’ve tried multiple times this evening but can’t figure it out! I googled it too, but nothing! I’m really hoping that someone wouldn’t mind helping me out, to be honest I’m kind of a little freaked out.Thank you!

By the way, I have found that it's easier to get a tampon in when I spit on the end of it. I use non-applicator tampons. Or used to; now I use a menstrual cup. I spit on that, too. Saliva provides enough lubricant for the tampon/cup to go in easily. Marked as spam

Congratulations! Do you have a friend who can show you how to do it? It's better if you have that personal instruction. If not, Youtube has some videos on how to insert a tampon. Check them out. Marked as spam
