How can i reduce clotting and cramping, and do you think using a menstrual cup would be a good idea for me?

i have heavier periods with largs clots (larger that half dollar sometimes) . When i get these clots i get really bad cramps. ive been thinking of using menstrual cups and been looking at the Meluna small cup with a stem handle in classic softenss. i dont like putting all of the clemicals in my body or filling up landfils. Im 14 and was a gymnast for 7 years, and im 5’5″ with a high cervix. How can i recude clotting and cramping, and do you think using a menstrual  cup would be a good idea for me?

 Hi Jay!

Menstrual cups are great! I've been using one for several years now and have never looked back!

To reduce clotting, make sure you drink lots of water and get adequate healthy fats. You could even take an omega 3 supplement like fish oil which helps to keep menstrual fluid running smoothly. Something with a 2:1 EPA:DHA ratio, unless you also struggle with mood issues, than 1:1 is great!
