I have the same problem! But this weekend when my mom will go shopping I will just write on the list pads (put them in my bathroom) I am nervous but I want to get it over with. PS I don't have my period I just want to be prepared.😊😊

When I asked my mom if I could buy pads it was before my first period but close to when I got it because I wanted to be prepared. I was extremely shy about talking to anyone about anything at that time and I wrote a note and since I didn't feel very comfortable talking about it I simply wrote "feminine supplies ". Later I became more comfortable talking about my period and pads with her but talking to her shouldn't be a big deal she probably went through the the same thing as a kid and will understand

It's not that big of a deal. Don't be ashamed. Having your period is 100% natural. Just ask your mom to buy pads for you. She's a woman too, so she obviously knows what getting a period is like.

Hi!

Don't worry, she's a girl. She will totally understand. Just remember, she's been through this aswell, all girls have. My I was 5 when my sister got hers, I was there to experience the whole thing. I remember when I asked my mum, she literally hade a flip out, spaz attack. At least she took my out for ice cream afterwards.

u should be totally comfortable when telling ur mom about ur first period. just tell her wut happened and tell her u need some pads. me and my mom hav codewords for asking for pads around my brothers and my dad at home

however, if u and ur mom dont exactly hav a good relationship and u feel like u definatly cant ask her, u should ask another female relativ u feel closer 2. perhaps a sister if u hav 1 or a cousin or u can also ask a close friend. and if u feel comfortable and confident enough, u can even ask a teacher u can trust. they can definatly help u 2. hope this helped

 Hey Girlie!

Asking your mom for pads shouldn't be a problem. She's a girl too, after all! She'll understand.

Show her the website and all the amazing things about re-usable pads before going into the conversation about getting pads of your own. Say that you'd love to try them (and maybe add in that you'll wash your own pads) haha :)

Good luck!
