Question about irregular periods

Even on bc pills, my period has often been irregular, and prone to fluctuating by four-six days even (I always seemed to ‘sync up’ with roommates and so forth). Since shanging my pill to Aviane, I have had lighter period symtoms, whereas before they were quite sever, with heavy clotting and cramps for almost two full weeks. The last  three months, my period lightened and then disappeared altogether. I have consistently taken my pills, but the month before last  I panicked about my cycle and shortened my placebo pills by only taking four then starting my new active pack, and last month I skipped the placebo piils altogether since I have no period symptoms whatsoever, taking all active pills, and going straight to my new active pack. Basically, now I’m not sure which week should be my menstrual week, therefore nervous about when to take my placebos.

Long story short, I am concerned about when to take my placebo pills, and with no bleeding lately,  no perceptible PMS symptoms, and an extremely irregular period, I am not sure how to go about deciding re-establishing my menstrual calendar. Would an ovulation kit be useful? or should I just go off my pills, and wait for a period to know for sure?

My name is misty. I have irregular periods since i started my period and i have been on almost all the birth control things that they use. Now i am on the birth control pill. For about three to four years and it is not doing nothing for me. I have my period one to two times in one month. And i bleed very heavy. I were a pads and a super tampox. And i still bleed through it. At night i were a overnight pads and it goes right through. It get to the point that i do not wanted to go out of my house. I have a lot cramping the two weeks that i am on my period. I am on my period now and just started today. What should i do so that i do not get blood everywere.

This sounds like an issue you should talk to your doctor about
