I used a tampon when I wasn’t on my period as i was just tryong it out before it eas back on my time of month and I didn’t think there was anything wrong about doing it but then I found out that I can get TSS from putting it in when I’m not on an I only did it once but I went to bed with it in but It was for about 6 hours! Will I get TSS and will I be ok? I havnt been irritated and I havnt been ill or anything no irritation aroun my vagina but am I ok and I won’t do it ever again

Also, keep monitoring your temperature and checking for a strange rash (but don't do it too often otherwise people might think you're overreacting). Look at the sheet in the tampon box (section that talks about toxic shock syndrome), and if you have any of the symptoms listed, go to the doctor right away! Marked as spam

I think you are going to be fine, but watch for any symptoms of toxic shock during the next couple of days. You are probably fine, though. Also, don't use tampons when you're not on your period. Marked as spam

If you don't feel sick then you are fine but don't do it again you are putting yourself at risk for tss Marked as spam
